Jake Medders
Coach Medders begins his first season leading the men’s golf program at Seckinger High School while also serving as the Quarterback Coach/ Pass Game Coordinator for the football program . He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Union Commonwealth University and a master’s degree in Management & Leadership from Campbellsville University in 2023.
Coach Medders played high school football at Brookwood High School in Snellville before transferring to Community Christian High School in Stockbridge. Prior to graduating in 2018, he helped lead his team to a 24–0 record and back-to-back GIAA State Championships. He was named All-Region and All-State Player of the Year following the 2017 season. In addition to football, he also contributed to a state championship on the baseball field, pitching a complete game in the GIAA state series.
Coach Medders began his collegiate athletic career at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa, where he was part of NAIA National Championship teams in 2018 and 2019. He later transferred to Union College, starting over 20 games across two seasons and earning NAIA Mid-South Player of the Week honors. During the spring of the 2022–23 season, he competed as a member of the Union Commonwealth University men’s golf team, participating in six collegiate events and gaining collegiate competitive experience in the sport.
Coach Medders currently teaches special education and is committed to supporting student-athletes both academically and athletically. He is engaged to fiancée Cami Timm, whom he met while attending Union Commonwealth University.
