Coach Phillips is entering his 26th year of coaching, 17th as a head coach.  An attendee of Lakeside High School, he played in the Final Four his senior year before heading to Oglethorpe University to play college basketball. Upon graduation, Coach Phillips spent time at Kennesaw Mountain, Alpharetta and Norcross High School as an assistant coach, winning 3 straight state titles in his last stop at Norcross.   

Prior to coming to Seckinger as head coach, Coach Phillips coached at Berkmar High School for 15 years winning 289, 15 straight State tournament appearances, 7 Region Championships, 2 State Finalists, 4 Elite Eight trips and 26 student-athletes achieving their dream to play college basketball. As an assistant, Coach Phillips spent 4 years at Norcross High School earning 3 State Championships.  

Coach Phillips is married to his lovely wife Joanna (the singing talent in the family) and they have two daughters, Amelia and Aria.
