Will Mize
Coach Mize will be
entering his 1st year teaching at Seckinger and coaching the Receivers for
football. He will also be the infield and hitting coach for baseball.
Coach Mize is a Gwinnett County graduate from Brookwood High School, and from
there he attended Georgia State University.
In high school Coach Mize was a First-team All-State
selection by Georgia Dugout Preview, First-team All-Gwinnett County as a senior
at Brookwood High School. He hit .460
with 27 RBIs, 33 runs scored, 15 extra-base hits and a 1.174 OPS. He helped
Brookwood to the Class 7-AAAAAAA state semifinals in Georgia’s largest
classification in 2018 as well as the quarterfinals in 2017, and the Sweet 16
in 2019.
At Georgia State
University, Coach Mize became a Freshman All-American and earned All-Sunbelt
Conference Second team honors. Over his career he achieved a .313 career
batting average and finished tied for seventh in GSU history in home runs,
fourth in hits, sixth in doubles, third in total bases, fifth in RBIs, sixth in
runs scored and fourth in games played. Coach Mize holds the school record with
250 at bats in a season.
Coach Mize graduated from Georgia
State University with a BA in Human Learning Development, and he is currently
pursuing his master's in teaching. Coach Mize is married to his lovely wife
Audrey of 2 years, and they are expecting their first child in August of 2026.
